Kings of Paradise was my first read of the new year, and it set the bar high for everything to come after. I can’t tell you just how much I enjoyed this book. This is dark, epic, and intimate fantasy that will linger with you for a while. It will give you thrills and make you shudder; it will pose questions and make you ponder them.
This is self-published fantasy at some of it’s best. I just wish I’d read it sooner…
It’s time for my first read of the new year! One thing I love about this time of year is the feeling that everything is new and you can start fresh. When it comes to reading this feeling is like a weight lifted off my shoulders. I can start my Goodreads Challenge over, and I’ve got a clean reading slate.
Until I remember all the books on my TBR and the ARCS I’ve committed to reading. Which brings me back to this first read of the year…
It’s time for another Book Haul post. One of my blogging goals for 2020 is to be to be more intentional about Book Haul posts. I’m aware that it’s possible nobody cares about the books I’ve bought or received, but I kinda like when bloggers post these because it not only puts new books in front of my eyeballs that I might not be aware of, but they also give me an idea of the blogger’s tastes. For my purposes a Book Haul post can include any book I’ve come to possess, not just those I buy, so arcs requested or just sent from publishers will be listed as well.

Which is good because I’ve been a slacker and not done one since the beginning of August (for July)! Hopefully I’ll get caught up before another two months go by. Look for the September post soon(ish). Continue reading
Self-Published Fantasy Month 2019 is over. While I admit I’m a little sad about that fact, I must also say I was pleased with how it went, mostly because unlike last year I was able to finish it. Here’s a quick recap of the month.
I want to thank everyone who participated in one way or another and if I’ve missed someone please let me know so I can update the post. What is included below are just those posts by bloggers who specifically tagged or wrote their pieces for Self-Published Fantasy Month. Continue reading
I realized that I’m a couple days late on the update for week 2 of Self-Published Fantasy Month. That’s partly because we had a bunch of kids in the house for a late birthday sleepover over the weekend, and then I procrastinated a little. All my fault. But better late than never right? So I’m gonna just jump right to it. Here’s a quick recap of the past week up through Sunday evening. Continue reading
