Book Haul: May 2020 Part II

Off The TBR_ Book Haul Post

It’s time for another Book Haul post. One of my blogging goals for 2020 is to be to be more intentional about Book Haul posts. I’m aware that it’s possible nobody cares about the books I’ve bought or received, but I kinda like when bloggers post these because it not only puts new books in front of my eyeballs that I might not be aware of, but they also give me an idea of the blogger’s tastes. For my purposes a Book Haul post can include any book I’ve come to possess, not just those I buy, so arcs requested or just sent from publishers will be listed as well. Continue reading

I managed to add…(checks notes)…eight freaking books to my TBR in January! See…this is how it works, I think I’ll catch up on my TBR and then nope, I acquire more books. Yeah I know it’s what the rest of you do too but c’mon this is like two months of reading for me. Oof. Anyway here’s the list… Continue reading

Book Haul: December 2019

It’s been an age since I last posted about a book haul. Like…(checks calendar)…all the way back to June. I’d hoped to post about my new books a bit more often last year and didn’t do that. Obviously.

One of my blogging goals for 2020 will be to be more intentional about Book Haul posts. I’m aware that it’s possible nobody cares about the books I’ve bought or received, but I kinda like when bloggers post these because it not only puts new books in front of my eyeballs that I might not be aware of, but they also give me an idea of the blogger’s tastes. Today I have four books to show you from December. The first two I found on my doorstep recently, one I picked up after seeing it on Twitter, and the other I bought from the bookstore. Continue reading

Book Haul: Self-Pub Fantasy Month 2019 Edition

SelfPubFantasyMonth

Earlier this week there was a sale going on for books related to the Self Published Fantasy Blog Off (#SPFBO). A bunch of self-published/indie authors got together and put their books on sale for $0.99 each. Most of the books were part of SPFBO5 that is currently underway, but there were a few books and authors from SPFBO4 that I noticed.

Anyway, what’s important for this conversation is there were a bunch of self-published/indie books on sale. This of course meant I had to buy some. Because you know, there was a book sale going on. It’s what one does.

I bought five books. I’m pretty sure at least one of these will be read and reviewed for Self-Published Fantasy Month in September though I haven’t decided which one or whether there will be more than one.

Here’s what I picked up… Continue reading

Book Haul: 6/1/19

BookHaulPost1

I’ve been trying to think of ways to diversify my posts so you’re not just getting reviews and month-in-review updates. It’s been a while since I made a book haul post and I bought a couple of books today so I thought, “why not do another book haul post?” My last one was probably over a year ago, and I know you’re all dying to critique my spending habits. Maybe I’ll make this a more regular thing.

For this post I don’t just want to tell you what I hauled, I also want to tell you why I hauled it. Today I bought two books on my Kindle. Here they are… Continue reading
