Book Giveaway: The Song Of All

The Song Of All was released yesterday February 20th and is the debut novel by Tina LeCount Myers, and published by Night Shade Books. I was sent a copy to review and then yesterday I inadvertently received a second book. I contacted the publicist who sent them to me and after throwing out options (send it back, use it as a paperweight, use it as a doorstop, use it as a slinky step) we settled on a book giveaway!

So, I’m sure you have questions. I’ve got a some answers below:

What does this mean for me? Well, it means now you have the opportunity for a free copy of The Song Of All too! I thought that was clear but maybe not.

What do I win exactly? The book. I mean that should be obvious. Not the one in the picture above, that one’s mine. You’ll get the other one. They’re the same but different. Oh, it’s hardcover…so that’s pretty cool.

What do I have to do to enter the giveaway? All you need to do is leave a comment on this post, or on my Twitter post about the giveaway saying you’d like to be entered for the giveaway and why you’d like to win the book.

Will my reason for why I’d like to win the book play a part in choosing the winner? No. I just want to see why you’d like to read the book. Is it the plot, or because you like the cover, or you like debut authors, or you like snowy mountains, or bloody footprints? I don’t care, I’m just curious and I’ll post your reason when I announce the winner.

Can I enter more than once? No. Don’t be that guy.

Why can’t it be “that girl?” Because “don’t be that guy is derog…” Dude just go away.

When will the entry period end? The entry period for the giveaway will begin whenever I finish this question and answer session and finally publish the post. It will end at 9:00 PM Eastern time in the United States on Friday February 23, 2018. That’s about 48 hours.

Well how will the winner be chosen? I’m going to put everyone’s name (or Twitter handle) in a bowl/hat type thing and have my daughter draw the winner at random.

Who can enter? Anyone? Yeah I suppose anyone who enters. I’m not limiting it to the United States (nervously checks wallet for shipping cost money). Except members of my immediate family are not eligible because…ya know…I have a copy. And not the author. Because she already has her own copy, she can’t have this one.

Do I have to review the book too? No. I mean it’d be cool if you did but whatever man.

So what’s the book about exactly? Good question…maybe I should have said something about that earlier…blurb below from publisher…

“A former warrior caught between gods and priests must fight for the survival of his family in this dark epic fantasy debut, set in a harsh arctic world inspired by Scandinavian indigenous cultures.

On the forbidding fringes of the tundra, where years are marked by seasons of snow, humans war with immortals in the name of their shared gods. Irjan, a human warrior, is ruthless and lethal, a legend among the Brethren of Hunters. But even legends grow tired and disillusioned.

Scarred and weary of bloodshed, Irjan turns his back on his oath and his calling to hide away and live a peaceful life as a farmer, husband, and father. But his past is not so easily left behind. When an ambitious village priest conspires with the vengeful comrades Irjan has forsaken, the fragile peace in the Northlands of Davvieana is at stake.

His bloody past revealed, Irjan’s present unravels as he faces an ultimatum: return to hunt the immortals or lose his child. But with his son’s life hanging in the balance, as Irjan follows the tracks through the dark and desolate snow-covered forests, it is not death he searches for, but life.”
